Portrait of Smiling People (2025)

This film was initiated as an entry for an Islamic film festival. With the knowledge and skills I had developed by then, I took on the roles of both director and director of photography. Thank God, this film won an award in another competition — it made it into the Top 6 at the Winaction Short Movie Competition.

The story follows a wealthy Muslim who is overwhelmed by a deep sense of unease. He doesn’t know exactly why he feels this way, but one thing is clear — his anxiety stems from his own wealth. A mysterious figure appears, offering both an explanation for his restlessness and a solution, delivered in a unique way: through fragments of photographic images.
